Maze Lounge was created with one simple idea: Hair should feel effortless, modern, and beautiful long after you leave the salon.

Founded by Murillo, a Brazilian hairstylist who has been living in Christchurch since 2019, Maze Lounge is a private space focused on personalised appointments and high-quality results. Every service is performed by Murillo, allowing each guest to enjoy a consistent experience from consultation to the final style.

Specialising in balayage, blondes, and modern colour techniques, the focus is on creating soft, seamless results that grow out beautifully and require less maintenance. Haircuts follow the same philosophy, with natural shapes, soft movement, and styles that are easy to wear every day without looking overdone.

Maze Lounge also offers a selection of professional smoothing services, tailored to different hair types and goals. Whether the priority is reducing frizz, controlling volume, or creating a smoother finish, every service is chosen to suit the individual hair rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
